Found this one lodged in my chrome bookmarks and I’m so glad that I picked this one up. This is a spin-off series to Zettai Karen Children and even though I have no intention of watching the original series I fully intend to watch this one.

It starts of in a world where there are people with special abilities called espers (which reminds me of railgun and index). We first see Hyoubu Kyousuke who is the leader of an esper criminal group, PANDRA, and he’s just blowing stuff up (I didn’t take many screenshots of that part, so go watch it yourself).

Yo~ What's up?

Such a lovely smirk. I love him.

Afterwords, it goes of to a prison fight in some far off prison for espers.

And here comes our poor hero.

And here comes our poor hero.

There’s a fight and afterwards a helicopter comes with Kyousuke who gets himself into the prison for a certain mission.

Well, well.

Well, well.

He befriends the guy in the fight, Andy Hinomiya, who promises to join Kyousuke’s group if he ever escapes. During lunch that day Kyousuke’s soup was poisoned by one of the cooks, to which he gave it to Andy who ate it unknowingly. Andy gets into another fight in which the effects of the poison start to take place. He collapses and is taken to the “hospital.”

some lab thing

Which is really more of a lab. Andy gets out of the room with Kyousuke and the go to a living experiments lab which has a little girl inside of it.

Ew~

Ew~

They get caught and Kyousuke ends up having to fight that big ugly thing shown in the picture above. This is when he releases his full powers and kills it easily.

They escape from the lab and go outside where a ship is waiting for them which had been concealed.

She's so cute.

She’s so cute.

Once on the ship, Magi, the guy with the fluffy hair, asks Kyousuke if it was a good idea to let a man like Andy join their group. To which Kyousuke replies, “Do you have a problem with that?” In the next scene, we see Andy alone in some part of the ship and…

Welp. I didn’t see that one coming.

Though it was so cool with a lot of big explosions and stuff, I’m not sure on how to feel about Kyousuke being so powerful and stuff. I don’t think he is a typical hero not villain so that may be part of it. And for his young age he is quite knowledgeable. Still, we’ll see how this turns out. The animation was done well and all the other characters seem like they will be interesting people. I’ll get onto the next episode now.
